CF™488A: Superior Specific Labelling

CF™488A: Superior Specific Labelling

CF™488A is a green fluorescent dye from Biotium that offers similar brightness to Alexa Fluor® 488 whilst reducing spillover into the red channel. However its main advantage is that antibodies conjugated to CF™488A tend to have greater target specificity than those labelled with Cy™2 or Alexa Fluor® 488. CF™488A is less highly charged than Alexa Fluor® 488 and therefore does not distort the protein isoelectric point and affinity, increasing the signal to noise ratio.
