Amylin Peptides
Amylin Peptides
Amylin, also known as islet amyloid polypeptide (IAPP) is a 37 amino acid peptide that is the major component of islet b-amyloid. Amylin. The (20-29) fragment of amylin is critical to the pathogenesis of islet amyloid and 90% of people with type 2 diabetes have islet amyloid deposits. These deposits are thought to contribute to pancreatic b cell dysfunction, either by direct cytotoxicity or by reducing b cell mass.
Cambridge Bioscience offers a range of amylin peptides.
